Amedeo Rosetto was born in Murano in 1951 in a family of glass craftsmen. His father was a famous bead artist who used Murrine (mosaic). Fascinated by the profound beauty of Murrine from an early age, Amedeo grew up learning a lot about it. After graduating from art school, he studied under a prominent maestro, and in 1975, at the age of 24, he himself received the title of maestro. He went on to develop his own kind of Murrine with complex patterns. His many elegant Murrine creations are highly acclaimed.
