Andrea Zilio

Andrea Zilio was born in Venice in 1966. Although his tryst with Murano glass began relatively late at the age of 23, he picked up the traditional techniques in the blink of an eye, and his works went on to be featured in museums in Paris and Copenhagen. In 1996 at the age of 30, he won in the young maestro category at the International Contemporary Glass Exhibition (Murano Glass Museum). Since then, he has exhibited at the Venice Biennale and international exhibitions, and has won countless awards. Today, artists from all over the world entrust him with illustrating different expressions using glass. Regardless of the complexity, he is able to freely craft any kind of glasswork. Rightfully called the 'genius of Venetian glass', Zilio is truly an artist of unrivaled brilliance.
